I am well aware that the SDS100E version is different that the USA SDS100 version. I never said, nor inferred in any way that they are the same. In your post, you stated that you were having a hard time finding the American SDS100 firmware changelog page. Currently, on the SDS100 & SDS200, you can customize to show the filter selection. That works if you are picking a specific choice, such as Normal, Wide Invert, Global, etc. But if you are using Auto, the display only shows "Auto", not which choice it found was the best match. The huge fully customizable color display makes it easy to see what is happening ...That's the weird thing, I unplugged the SDS100 and used the new cable instead of the one that came with the SDS100. I've never had the computer try to install a new driver in the many times I've disconnected the scanner and reconnected it, (except on the original install).Dec 11, 2021 · The SDS100, handheld brother, has the same display format, just smaller and narrower. It also uses a battery pack instead of AA batteries. The newer SDS100/200 models are basically programmed and work the same way as the 436/536 models with a few extra features. I bought my SDS100 new from zipscanner.com on April 9th, 2020 (Less than two months ago). Arrived on time, in new condition, all was well. Functionality of this scanner is fantastic. You can mess with hold times and delay times in programming. The only thing I've found that helps is increasing the squelch above 1.fxdscon. It never had a lock, it had a text field in the display available but never functioned. There were some users that were seeing the keypad lock on the SDS100 actually functioning through the Sentinel software in the early versions. The port needs to supply 1A for run-only, or 2A for run + charge. If your computer can't supply 1A minimum, you need to use a powered hub.
